I was notified that there is a very fun service opportunity available for our skiers to help coach as a volunteer. Below is a message from the organizer of the event. Take a look and consider helping out.
Here is the message from Bethann Chamberlain who helps with adaptive skiing across the country:
I am excited to share with you all an opportunity to get out on the trails at Hyland park with some new cross country skiers.
Shriner’s Hospital is hosting a kids Nordic Ski day on February 4th, 2023 from 9AM -12PM. This event is for kids who have worked with Shriner’s in the past, (many in their limb deficiency group). I will be helping to run this clinic and am in search for some volunteers who would be interested in getting out on the trails with these kids. Our goal is to introduce this group to cross country skiing and have fun out on the ski trails together!
More details and a link to register as a volunteer can be found here.
