It is cold out, so plan accordingly. The temps are well within the legal limits (-4). But it is still cold. Please be sure to dress in layers, and if you want, ski in an extra layer to be safe. In between races, we cut the time down so you weren’t standing around too long. Please keep moving, change your equipment and be ready for your second race.
For arrival times, it is up to you how long you need to warm up. If it was me, I would cut my time down a little and be leaving my car about 30 minutes before the race, so I can go ski some but not be rushed. Ski for a while, stretch, ski for a little more, etc. As long as you keep moving and have layers on, you should be plenty warm.
Update: course maps are posted in attachments
This race will have both skate and classic. Please sign up for whether you want to do just the skate race, just the classic race, or if you want to try both races in one day. If you are varsity or would like to be considered for the varsity races (conference, section, state) you must do both races. If you are a JV athlete and want to do both, please do. We encourage as many of you that want to to go for it. Sign up here.

The races are shorter because you will only have about 10-15 minutes to recover from the first race before you start the second, but it will be cold, so we need to keep everyone moving. If you have questions, please ask.
There will be no bus for this meet again. I am sorry for the problems this creates for everyone, but there are not very many that want/need the bus and we cannot justify the cost.
There should be considerably more parking available this time since we are the only race there nd the two teams that we are skiing against are Rogers and Elk River that both ski there all the time. If there is not parking in the lot, you can park at the golf course just to the south of the entrance to Woodland Trails.
