Don’t forget everyone, we are honoring Grace Heitzig at this race. Grace was a skier for us 5 years ago. She passed away and would have been a senior this year on our team. There is no doubt that she would have been a great skier and contributor for us. She was a hard worker with an incredibly positive outlook on life. We will honor her by wearing a ribbon our uniforms. We will have the ribbons at the meet. Athletes and parents can participate alike.

Update: Please see coach Bennett or Gifford for a ribbon when you get to the chalet. Parents we have enough for you too!!

High schoolers get to elm creek using carpooling. If you can’t, you can always ride the middle school bus that swings by mgsh around 3:00 or 3:05. Middle schoolers, ride the shuttle bus over just like practice. The meet starts at 3:30, so please hustle. Don’t waste time. Get on skis as fast as you can and get down to the start line.

Girls: 3:30
Boys: 4:00

If anyone wants to do the 2.5k, you just tell Gifford on race day so he can mark it on the sheets.

Update: the race course is going to be the valley (manmade loop) and the northern lights. It is one lap for a 5k. I am pretty sure the snow coverage is good, but if you have really nice race skis, be careful to avoid sticks and things.

Location

Elm Creek Park Reserve
