Great second week of meets. I know there have been a lot of moving parts and some issues with practice times, but you all have been flexible and worked with us. Please continue to let us know when you have questions or when something isn't working (like the shuttle bus to Elm). We need to know when there is confusion, so we can communicate well. There are no meets the next couple of weeks so those of you that feel like you havent been ready for them, hopefully these next couple weeks, you can get there.
As we come into our next two weeks, you will want to know a few things.
1. We have only 13 weeks in the season and we have already finished 6 of them. We cannot afford to take 2 weeks off. If you cannot make it to practice, we will post the workouts that you should accomplish. Please try to get them done. For those of you that cannot ski, typically you can take a ski workout and divide it by 2 for the time for a run (90 minute ski = 45-50 min run). SKiing is always best and is necessary to keep improving. Please make it a priority as much as you can to be there or get out on snow.
2. We will be updating whether we are skating or classic skiing as the week goes on based on weather.
- Right now, we are planning this week to be skate Monday-Wednesday, both skate and classic on friday, then your choice on saturday.
- the second week, we hope to classic monday-wednesday, then skate friday.
3. Practice for monday is now a night practice at Elm, and tuesday is a french practice after school, but later than usual so we are hoping the middle schoolers can get a ride over to join us.
4. Mesabi team was posted in the teamfeed, if you are on the list, but cannot make it, you need to send coach gifford and heaton a message or email so we can adjust the squad.
