The first 2 weeks have been great! You all are handling the demands of the beginning of this sport extremely well. We know running is not everyone's favorite and we know you are incredibly sore from all the circuits and lifting, but you all are going to reap the benefits later on. Stay engaged and stick with dryland. I think it is going to come to end very soon, then things get even more complicated. Below are some reminders as we enter potentially the transition week for us.
1. We will be outside as much as possible this coming week.
2. Veterans can ROLLER SKI again if you want to. Beginners will NOT roller ski at all.
3. There is no official practice Wednesday - Sunday, but we have workouts for those days posted in HelloTeam.
4, We would like all skis ready to ski by the end of week 3 because we believe Elm Creek will have some ski-able snow potentially. We may not be able to have practice at that point, but we think skiing will be available. Anyone that does not have their skis waxed yet, you will take care of that after practice if possible on Monday this week. Getting skis is a major priority at this point.
5. If there is skiing available, but we cannot ski as a team, we will shorten practices at MGSH so that everyone can go out and get skiing as well as practicing at MGSH. You could either go right after practice, or later in the evening.
6. Lastly, practices will likely be done a little sooner rather than later this week. They will likely be done more like 4:15 depending on the day.
7. Seniors will help manage rides to the park once we are skiing there, but in the end it is each individual skier's responsibility to get to Elm Creek. We have posted the shuttle bus numbers from each middle school and the high school athletes need to carpool. The seniors will try to help, but everyone needs to remember to discuss this during the week.
As always, if you have questions, email me (coach Gifford)

Let's have a great third week!
