Hey everyone, we have our close our week of the season. It has been a blast coaching and being with all of you during the season. I hope you have all enjoyed it. I also want you all to know your Nordic Team is always here for you. Your coaches care about you, your teammates care about you. We are excited to close the season with purpose and meaning so please engage as much as you can in the last events. Here are the important details. All of them are in the schedule and events for more details but I just wanted to make sure you doing miss anything.
1. Last practices (meet) are Monday and Tuesday. We will have a great time just skiing with each other.
2. Both varsity boys and girls teams will be skiing in the state meet on Wednesday/Thursday!
3. Uniform turn in on Feb 18 after school. If you cannot make that time work, you can give your uniform to coach Gifford in rm273. You must have your name attached to the uniform though. Preferably in a bag with your name in the bag.
4. Banquet is Feb 19. Do not forget! It will be great celebration of the season and our seniors who led us so well this year.
5. Wax room will be open a few times after the season so you can storage wax your skis and turn in your school skis. Storage wax protects your skis from dirt and scratches in the off season.
6. Don’t forget to fill out the awards and season reflection form that I posted this week.
7. To continue building on our incredible success this year, roller skiing is a great option for our skiers over the spring/summer/fall. We will be offering some roller ski team options, but even if you can just get a pair and roller ski an hour or two a week over the summer, it makes a huge difference in your ability to get back on skis next year. Please consider it for this coming year.
8. And lastly please stay attached to our TeamApp team as we will try to provide service opportunities and other fundraisers throughout the off season.
